The Business Development Committee was rejuvenated late in 2005.  The Business Development Committee began prioritizing and developing business attraction, retention and expansion initiatives to be carried.  The Committe merged with the Workforce Development Committee shortly after and now work on various business and workforce development initiatives. 

The major initiative in this area is the Employer of Choice (EOC) Program.  An Employer of Choice is an outstanding organization where people want to work, want to stay once hired, want to give their best every day and want to adapt creatively to change.  Employees feel appreciated and valued, increasing a company's ability to attract and retain skilled employees.
